On 14 and 15 May 2012, WJC President Amb. Ronald S. Lauder, and Secretary General, Dan Diker, together with ICJP delegates from Europe and Israel, held a working session at the Italian Parliament in Rome to define common goals and strategies to face the alarm of the overall rise in anti-Semitism and extremism in Europe.

The International Council of Jewish Parliamentarians brings together Jewish legislators, parliamentarians and government ministers from around the world, with the aim of promoting ongoing dialogue, upholding the principles of democracy, furthering the cause of human rights, promoting the rule of law, combatting racism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia, terrorism and Holocaust denial, supporting Israel and contributing towards the creation of enduring peace in the Middle East.
The ICJP operates in cooperation with the Knesset, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the World Jewish Congress.
